NORTH EAST RENEWABLE ENERGY RESEARCH LAB based in Jorhat is a research Centre designed for applied solar energy research which aims to undertake and promote projects for rural as well as urban areas of the country and Assam in particular. R&D activities will focus on new ideas that would lead to eventual solution of implementation and use of renewable energy and attain sustainable development of the state.

We are taking up wide range of R&D initiatives in the field of Renewable Energy for up scaling as well as uplifttment of the underprivileged people. In view of the same to up scale the income of the village farmers and cut down the dependency of electricity, NERERL since inception has already implemented different projects in similar field which is currently in different stages of establishment.

NERERL has created a revolutionary new approach to bring affordable solar electricity to everyone in Assam and beyond.Primarily eyeing the growth of locality villages, the later stages shall capitalize on the development of the state and country to attain the sustainable goal.
