Joëlle Welfring
Minister Luxembourg
From 2010 to 2014, Joëlle Welfring served as director of the Business Development department at the Henri Tudor Public Research Centre, after having directed the Resource Centre for Environmental Technologies (CRTE).
After Robert Schmit's retirement leave on 1 April 2022, Joëlle Welfring succeeded him as director of the Environment Agency, where she had been serving as deputy director since 2014.
On 2 May 2022, following the resignation of Carole Dieschbourg, Joëlle Welfring joined the coalition government formed by the Democratic Party (DP), the Luxembourg Socialist Workers' Party (LSAP) and the Green Party (déi gréng) as Minister for the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development.
