Prof. V Prakash
Professor V. Prakash is a distinguished Indian scientist with extensive credentials, including Ph.D., FRSC, FIFT, FINAE, FIAFoST, FNAAS, FAFST (I), FINAS, and FNAS. He has made significant contributions to food technology and nutrition, notably as the former Director of the Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) in Mysore, India. He is the Immediate Past President of the Nutrition Society of India and currently serves as the President of the International Society for Nutraceuticals, Nutritionals, and Naturals (ISNNAN). Professor Prakash is also a Council Member of both the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS) and the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST), where he chairs the Task Force on Nutraceuticals. Additionally, he leads several initiatives, including the Panel on Safety of Nutraceuticals and Nutritionals and Functional Foods for the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), and holds key positions at JSS MVP, Mysore. His work continues to influence the fields of food technology and nutritional science globally.
