He began his career at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Assam Oil Division) in 1990, gaining expertise in logistics, marketing, technical services, and operations. In 1999, he joined Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), where he has excelled in various roles. Currently, he serves as the Director (Technical) at NRL, overseeing technical aspects of refinery operations, process optimization, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Phukan's contributions have been instrumental in NRL's growth and efficiency, and his leadership continues to play a crucial role in driving innovation and addressing industry challenges.
